Abu Dhabi by night, part 2

The latest of my photos of Abu Dhabi by night.  None of these photos nor any in my previous blogs have had any Photoshop treatment.

"One canon to another" Canon 450D, 1/3s, f/4, ISO-800
The canon near Hamdan Street on Airport Road. See part 1 for other photos taken in this area.
Canon 450D, EF-S 17-85 mm lens, 13s, f/11, ISO-400
A long time exposure with cars waiting to turn left into Airport Road whilst others zip past straight ahead. My new lens seems to have performed well here giving good depth of field and a good sharp image from the rock in the foreground to the buildings in the background. One of dozens I took that night but the best shot by far.

Canon 450D, EF-S 17-85mm, 2.5s, f/8, ISO-800.

Looking across No 4 Street under the glare of the yellow sodium vapour street lamps.
Canon 450D, EF-S 17-85mm lens, 6s, f/11, ISO-400

The full moon is in the centre of the picture whilst you can see the top of the tower being built not 100m from our apartment. It is up to 80 floors so far and looks like is being topped out. Not sure what to do with the glare or whether it is possible to reduce it but then there is always something else to learn about digital photography.

4s, f/3.5, ISO-200

One of the numerous water features along the Corniche which comes alive at night.

1/13s, f/3.5 ISO-800

Another colourful feature by the small mosque near the children's playground on the Corniche.

1/6s, f/4, ISO-800

The same mosque as in the previous photo. Not one of my better photos as there is little depth of field in this somewhat soft photo. However I've included it here to show you some of the sites you can see not far from where we live at present. The lens I used here has been "retired".

Canon 450D, EF-S 18-55mm lens, 1.3s, f/4, ISO-800.

I've had a lot of fun wandering around the Corniche and often with the camera and then often without it, wishing I'd bought it along. I hope you have enjoyed my selection and can see that this part of the world is not all sand.

My next blog will show you what sand can look like.
